Welcome Everyone.
It is 2023 and we are ready to get back into our studio and get dancing again.
2022 was a very positive year after two years of lockdowns and challenges.
We held our postponed 2021 Concert in June at the marvellous Thornbury Theatre, where we performed the ballet Coppelia as well as a Second Act full of variety items that had been mostly learnt via zoom.
It was exhilarating for students teachers and the audience to finally be able to perform again.
The year finished in December with our very successful 2022 Concert, 'Cinderella' and a programme of 'Dances to the Seasons' at the Viewbank College Performing Arts Theatre.
Almost all of our students sat their RAD Ballet Exams in August and then their SDA Tap Exams in October.
Our senior students also performed three items in the State Dance Association Showcase Spectacular in September and two of our Seniors performed in their Solo Tap Exam.
We are very proud of all our students and their individual achievements in these past few years under very difficult circumstances. Whether it was sitting an exam, or just walking onto a stage for the very first time, or skipping around the room without holding mums hand, well done to each and every one of them.
Darebin School of Dance will continue to provide a safe environment for everyone and continue to follow our health and safety protocols that we have put in place as per Victorian Health guidelines.
We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people and teachers at the Darebin School of Dance and endorse the Child Safety Commitment to keep all young people and teachers safe from abuse and neglect. We will continue to provide a nurturing, friendly and relaxed environment so that we can all experience the very best of our dance journeys.
We will continue to keep you all informed and updated via our emails, Facebook and Instagram pages.

This SDA Presentation Day is a highlight of the State Dance Association year where eligible students from all SDA schools are invited to perform their solos.
