Covid 19 Update:
Classes are Resuming at 'The Studio' as of 9th November 2020.
Following the much anticipated announcements by the Victorian Government, we are thrilled to be allowed to return to our ' In studio' classes.
Darebin School of Dance is a fully 'Stand Alone' studio with no other tenants using our premises.
We have a very comprehensive Covid Safety Plan written out and fully operational.
We are totally confident that because of this we can continue to provide an extremely safe, happy and relaxed environment for our students to return to so that they can continue to enjoy their dancing, and reconnect with everyone in person.
All health and safety regulations are in place as well as cleaning and sanitising protocols.
Due to regulations regarding density limits on class sizes and the number of people in the venue at any one time we have altered our timetable for the remainder of 2020 as below.
Classes will continue for a block of 5 weeks, and then intimate class presentations will finish off a very different year. It has been one of resilience, taking responsibility, adaptation, patience and overcoming challenges. Lets celebrate all of our achievements and courage. Lets all be very very proud.

First Update as of March 23rd 2020.
Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, our School has temporarily had to close its doors as of March 23rd 2020 and cease all dance classes in the studio.
However we are continuing to engage our students, keep them all connected with each other, and nurture their passion for dance and expression via the mediums of 'On Line Video' classes and 'ZOOM' sessions each week.
We are also sending out regular emails and messages via our facebook page to keep everyone informed.
Our Dance Crosswords and Questionnaires have been a wonderful way for the students to catch up on their theory. Our varied classes, which include Floor Barres, Strengthening and Conditioning, Pre- pointe Work, Stretching, and just good old Technique classes, have given everyone at home the chance to exercise both the mind and bodies, move to the music, and just feel good about themselves in this very stressful and uncertain time for us all.
Once we do return to the studio we will be implementing all the necessary health and safety procedures as set out by the Health Department to make our studio a very safe and happy place for all our students and teachers to work in. We will be able to enjoy the exhilaration of dance and the freedom and space to move again.
If you would like to participate in one of our many classes then please contact us through the link on the contacts page and we will send you the relevant video links.
Latest Update as at 18th October 2020.
Term 4 2020 has started with our adjusted ZOOM Timetable for a block of 5 weeks, at the time of writing.
It is our hope that face to face classes will be able to resume sometime in November.
At present we are choreographing items in our zoom classes that we hope to be able to perform in small intimate settings later in December. This is giving the students a goal to aim towards, and will give them the opportunity to finish off their 2020 year with a sense of accomplishment, and pride in themselves for their commitment, participation, and achievement via the online learning platforms.
Depending on restrictions our 2021 classes will resume as soon as possible, and we will hold our January Holiday seminar to get the new year off and running.
All Exams in 2020 have been postponed until 2021 along with all performances, dance camps, competitions and seminars.
Thankyou to everyone for supporting us through these times and helping us to keep everyone connected and motivated. We so look forward to getting back together soon and enjoying the passion of dance and movement, renewing our friendships face to face, and making more wonderful memories together for many years to come.
